The challenge
Give a face and a home to a podcast that proudly follows no algorithm.
Música Maldita (“cursed music”) is a hand-picked selection of songs, with a new episode every week—“music with no filters and no algorithms.” It needed a brand that worked just as well on an avatar as on a poster or a T-shirt, and a website of its own where people could play the full archive, episode by episode, as easily as in a music app.
Brand
A circular seal, like a record, with a line-drawn ear that turns into a cable and ends in a jack.
Listening
A custom player on every episode, a mini player that follows you as you browse, and continuous playback from one episode to the next.
Rhythm
A new episode every week. The site publishes it automatically on its release date and tags it as new, and every release gets its own poster.
The identity
An ear, a cable and a record.
The logo works like a seal: a black circle with the name around the edge and, in the center, an ear drawn with a single red line that turns into a cable and ends in a jack. Listen, plug in, hit play. On the site, it draws itself stroke by stroke as the page loads, and it spins like a vinyl record while an episode plays.

The site
An archive you listen to from top to bottom.
One page: the latest episode at the top and the whole archive below it, on a timeline. No sign-ups, no screens in between: just show up and hit play.
The latest episode at the top, tagged as new, and the rest on a timeline.
Each episode expands to show its songs without leaving the page.
The card that’s playing lights up, the mini player appears and a heart saves the episode to favorites.
Episodes devoted to a single album show its cover on the timeline and link to Spotify and Apple Music.
Switch between light and dark in one tap; the site remembers your choice.
Search by artist or song to jump straight to the right episode, with its tracklist open.
Light and dark
For listening day and night.
Every color on the site comes from a single set of variables, so dark mode isn’t a separate layer: the background, cards and text change, while the brand red stays put. The site starts in light mode, switches with one tap and remembers your choice for next time, with no flash on load.
